We have an opportunity for two students aged 16-18 to learn about and support our team this October Half Term.
We are the capital’s dedicated think tank. We develop new solutions to London’s critical challenges and advocate for a fair and prosperous global city. Through research and events we generate bold and creative solutions that improve the capital.
This will be a five day placement, for two students, between Monday 21 October and Friday 25 October 2019. The placement will be at our office near Farringdon and Chancery Lane stations from 10am to 5pm each day.
During your placement you will learn about and support the team as we prepare for our biggest event of the year. You will also have opportunities to shadow staff from our research, communications or fundraising teams. You don’t need to know anything about what think tanks do, or London policy, but you do need to show enthusiasm and interest in the work we do.
The deadline for applications is Friday 20 September.
Students may be selected before this date so please submit your application as soon as possible to give yourself the best chance.
Students who have not previously had work experience, do not have access to other opportunities (such as via parents) and qualify for Free School Meals or Pupil Premium are especially encouraged to apply.
We will cover travel to and from the office for the week, as well as expenses for lunch (£6 per day).
Below are a number of questions which you will need to answer to apply for this opportunity.
- Interests: What are you most proud of?
- Can you please tell us more about why you feel this opportunity would be important for you to take to help you in your future ambitions?
- Can you give an example of a time you turned a negative situation or challenge into a positive? Or you found a way to make it better?
If you have any questions or would like to discuss this opportunity, please email Johnathan Tuck or phone the office on 020 3757 5555.
