Funding Partnerships Lead

Centre for London is a dynamic and flexible employer. We are looking for an energetic networker and great team player with experience across fundraising, business development and building successful partnerships. You’ll need a passion for London, the ability to help build compelling funding propositions and the rigour to help us ensure we walk the walk with all our partners.

Centre for London is the city’s think tank focusing on the critical policy challenges facing London. With the recovery from Covid, the levelling up agenda, impact of Brexit, growing threat posed by climate change and cost of living pressures, London is not short of huge policy challenges. Our work is designed to come up with new thinking and solutions which the Mayor, local authorities and the government can adopt and implement in order to deliver the change necessary to make London a better place in which to live and work.

We are funded through developing and maintaining great partnerships with businesses, public authorities, trusts, foundations, and philanthropists. We are looking for someone to help us implement our new fundraising strategy, growing our income across all these sectors, especially trusts, foundations and philanthropists.

This post is for someone who has experience across fundraising, and/or business and partnership development. You’ll need to hit the ground running and quickly focus on building new relationships with the people and organisations who could fund the work we do and invest in our vision for London. You will also ensure current relationships and partnerships are well managed with a strong focus on delivery; great management of partner expectations, benefits, and financials, as well as a keen eye on new opportunities.

We celebrate London’s rich and diverse culture, and we want our team to reflect the city we serve. We especially welcome applications from people from minority ethnic and/or less advantaged backgrounds.

This is currently planned to be a full-time role, however we welcome applications from people who would like to work part-time or have other flexible working requirements. We are currently recruiting for two roles in this team
