It is surprising that there has never been a journal of this title, dedicated to what is now the world’s greatest city.
By Ian Hawksworth
As proud investors in London, and committed to the two great estates of Covent Garden and the new Earls Court, Capco is delighted to support London Essays, recognising the importance of understanding both opportunities and challenges. As the world expands and gets more connected, so London will need to do the same – requiring leadership, vision and imagination, as well as technical brilliance and technological innovation.
Embracing the future city is now more vital than ever before – addressing issues from transport and infrastructure to density, affordability and social inclusion.
I would like to congratulate the Centre for London for compiling another selection of thoughtful and important contributions, which I am confident will help shape better policies and practices for the journey ahead.
