Roy O’Shaughnessy is the CEO of Capital City Group College (CCCG), London’s largest further education and training provider with around 37,000 students – 40% more than its closest competitor.
Roy is committed to FE colleges and not for profit organisations, competing for large commercial contracts and reinvesting the net profits from these contracts back into the community and disadvantaged individuals, rather than to shareholders. He is also committed to transforming communities, and, in a small way, changing the world which aligns perfectly with CCCG’s vision to transform lives of Londoners through exceptional education and training.
Previously Roy was the Group Chief Executive of Shaw Trust from 2012 when Careers Development Group, where Roy was Chief Executive, merged with Shaw Trust. Prior to that Roy was at St Christopher’s Fellowship from September 2004 when he moved back to the UK from the USA where he had been the Chief Executive of Episcopal Charities for the Diocese of California.
A valued member of multiple boards, Roy sits on the Capital City College Group Board of Governors, , the Chair of Yateley Industries for the Disabled and supports local community as Chair and school governor and Parish Councillor.
