Carl Weisbrod was appointed as Director of the New York City Department of City Planning and Chairman of the New York City Planning Commission by Mayor Bill de Blasio in March, 2014. Weisbrod has more than 35 years of experience serving the people of New York. He has transformed some of the city’s most dynamic and fastest-growing neighborhoods into global hubs for tourism, entertainment and office while facilitating the creation of thriving 24-7 mixed-use districts.
