This presentation will tell the story of how three very different areas in East and South East London have changed over the last twenty years to understand their distinct local levelling up challenges.
In this panel we analyse whether the Olympics delivered on jobs, housing and opportunity for Londoners. What can the city learn from large scale placemaking and developments? And what were the successes, failures and what more needs to be done?
The Deputy Mayor of London joins us to share the Greater London Authority’s vision for this part of the city and its connectivity with the Wider South East.

How can we maximise the opportunities resulting from spending on infrastructure and investing in public transport? How are communities involved and given a voice in the evolution of these areas and how do we unlock the potential of the Thames, not just as a means of transport but for recreation, hospitality, and culture?
