Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson was first elected Mayor of London in 2008, and was re-elected in 2012. Boris has made reducing crime and jobs and growth his key priorities and has invested a record sum in transport prior to the 2012 Olympics. The Mayor was Conservative MP for Henley from 2001 – 2008 and a shadow government minister for the Arts and Higher Education. He’s been the Editor of the Spectator magazine, produced a TV series on Roman History, and written several books. A reporter and columnist for the Daily Telegraph, he still writes a weekly column for the paper every Monday.
