The capital’s future depends on its ability to innovate, re-invent and develop new ideas. Centre for London is excited to launch a new platform for projects, trends and ideas that could transform London for the better, London ideas.
This event will put a spotlight on the latest urban innovations. We’ll showcase innovators whose ideas could help London tackle some of its critical challenges, in housing, transport sustainability and society.
We’re inviting you to the launch event, the first of three events over the next year, will feature five speakers with quick-fire presentations.
Emcee: Feargus O’Sullivan, City Lab
Arya Taware, FutureBricks
Jamie Burrows, Vertical Future
Mario Washington-Ihieme, Centre for London
Simon Brooksbank, Planning Out
Christine Armstrong, Jericho Chambers
Follow the debate using #IdeasforLondon
Join us to hear about ideas which make you think “Wow, that makes a lot of sense. Why hasn’t London done that before?”:
- Quirky new projects with possible solutions to some of London’s challenges.
- The findings from a pilot programme that looks like it’s working
- Concrete policy interventions which need momentum.
The audience will get to vote on the best new idea for London. Those ideas will go on to be featured in our new journal on urban innovation, also called London ideas, the first of which will be published in the summer.
Got an idea which could help London? We’re crowd-sourcing ideas to feature at our future London ideas evenings and in the magazine. If you’ve got an idea which could help the city, we’d love to hear about it.
